Trudy leaves nails protruding from steps, drops bowling balls on bad guys, and slows one intruder down with a pool of spilled glue and broken Christmas ornaments. The final touch to the bundle of "Easter eggs" was a tribute to NASA's own history of exploration. The day Orion landed back on Earth also happened to be 50 years to the day after the final Apollo 17 moon landing. The date now that we can expect our lockdown to stop is May 4th, I am hoping people understand how serious this all is and stay home. I am making a spring Frittata with asparagus, some foraged, some from our garden and wild borage also from the garden.

It turns out to be what looks like a sci-fi remake of Angels With Filthy Souls, the fictional gangster movie that Kevin watches in the first movie. The real question I want to ask Google is how the McAllisters managed to live in a Christmas-themed house all year round, and why no one noticed that every single room was redecorated by Chicago's most festive interior decorator. Yes, it's a genius of set dressing, but I'd also like to see how ridiculous the fictional McAllisters look in January. Who - believe it or not - gets left behind when his family jet off to Japan for their holiday. In J.J. Abrams' 2011 gem SUPER 8, the main group of friends, led by wannabe-director Charles, decide to make a low-budget zombie movie for an international film competition. In the zombie film, the chemical factory being blamed for the zombie outbreak is named Romero Chemicals.
This is a clear reference to the godfather of the zombie film, George A. Romero . The BRIDE OF CHUCKY is my favorite entry in the Child’s Play franchise; it’s so self-aware that it’s hard not to love its charming ways. It actually takes aim at some other notable horror icons right off the bat in the beginning of the movie at the Lockport police evidence depository.

Shooting in one day before principal photography began, and starring an actor who rushed out of his performance in a local Chicago theater show to make a 10 p.m. The Plaza Hotel has been featured in many movies set in New York, today we look at its significance in HOME ALONE 2. When Kevin first enters the hotel he asks a man where the lobby is. I bet our parents got a kick out of that when they took us to see this movie.
Violent Night also features death by electrocution after Santa stabs a bad guy in the eye with the star on top of the tree. Kevin McCallister has put his time defending his home from robbers to good use now that he's grown up. Buzz notices the sign while investigating the security alarm triggered by the would-be-robbers, and is subsequently asked to investigate a report of a kid being left home alone.

It's fun to think that a couple of decades later, Kevin hasn't forgiven his family and you can't really blame him since they did it twice. Then again, maybe he should thank them as he's clearly used it for his career as a home security expert. Buzz is having none of it though and tells them it's a prank call from Kevin, the cheeky little scamp.
Given that many invaders enter the estate by posing as hired help, this Easter egg hints at upcoming events. In Die Hard, thieves take over a Los Angeles skyscraper during a holiday party to steal bearer bonds from the building's vault. This is similar to the holiday home invasion in Violent Night, even though there are debates about Die Hard being a Christmas movie. While Die Hard has NYPD Detective John McClane thwarting these efforts after he is initially undetected by the invaders, Violent Night has Santa Claus step in to save the hostages from the criminal threat.
Though the Easter eggs in the movie are a nice touch, it was probably wise for Macaulay Culkin not to return to the role of Kevin McCallister on this occasion. Leaving Kevin McCallister home alone to defend against robbers gave him firsthand experience of home defense. It's both logical and a fun revelation that he's translated this particular set of skills to building a home security business. While Kevin's professional security system does not include flying paint cans, nails in stairs or red-hot door handles, Max is able to supplement it with his own unique set of boobytraps.
We see Buzz's tarantula out of its cage, clinging to the wall opposite the stairs. We see the "AHHHHH!!!" aftershave in the soapdish above the bathroom sink. There's a small TV in the kitchen, and it's playing Angels with Filthy Souls, the movie-within-a-movie that Kevin used to trick the pizza delivery boy and the Wet Bandits into thinking he wasn't alone. There are five LEGO minifigures included in the build–Kevin McCallister, Harry, Marv, Kevin's Mom, and Old Man Marley–and each of them has accessories. Kevin has a bowl of chocolate ice cream, a scarf and hat for when he goes outside, and a sled he can use to slide down the stairs.
